I’m an experienced teacher with a passion for dogs, and after working and volunteering for the Regina Humane Society, I realized the extreme need for education and assistance programs to help dogs and their owners.

I’ve developed my business as a way to address this need:

I offer at-home dog training to help keep all members of the family happy; I give presentations to educate people about canine communication and behaviour, safe human-dog interactions and other important dog-related issues; I publish a free newsletter  as a way to spread information that will help keep all dogs happy and healthy; I make homemade organic dog treats and all natural homemade dog toys to provide alternatives to some of the questionable commercial products available; and I manage Spay It Forward, a local network of people who help spay/neuter the pets of low income pet owners.

Need a little dog help?

Oberhund’s policies and philosophies are centered on the tenements of Humane Education: kindness to the Earth, the animals, and each other.

Just like people, dogs need affection, attention, mental stimulation, and exercise for their overall health and happiness.

Oberhund recognizes the power of the human-animal bond and supports projects that promote the health and happiness of all dogs in the community, especially spay/neuter programs, anti-puppy mill initiatives, and low-income pet owner assistance.
